Part of the college experience is trying out new things. There is no other way to find out what it is that you like. By the time I graduated from college I had done 4 internships, received my Real Estate License, and founded a student club. I was on a quest to find what I enjoyed doing.
MUN: I joined the Model MUN group in search for a new experience. I wanted to understand exactly how the UN works and how decisions are based at the top level. I participated in multiple mock conferences held internally at Soka University and was selected as part of a group of 7 student to represent Soka University at the MUN Conference at Pomona college. The topics Committee: Ad Hoc - Nuclear Disarmament; Agenda: Security regarding North Korea (DPRK)

Real Estate: Few 20-year-olds do not get the thought of becoming a real estate agent. Over the summer I worked on 3 college courses and then studied for the exam to get my real estate license. I became a licensed realtor and worked at Keller Williams Laguna Hills. I joined a group and did market research, cold calling, and held open houses.

Soka Strategic Investment Group: I was truly impressed by the opportunity to create wealth in the stock market. I bought different stocks and made a little bit of money. It was all pure intuition and no research involved. I didn't know what it was that I needed to look at in order to make the best investment decision. That's when Marlen, Chen-Hsu, Warren, and I founded the SSIG (Soka Strategic Investment Group). We would meet with the school's CFO and Investment Manager on a weekly basis to learn different research methods, valuation methodologies, and discuss how they strategized the school's billion-dollar endowment. We often discussed stock market opportunities among each other and presented our research to back up our claims.
SUA’s Theatre Arts Club: Another extracurricular activity I pursued was Theatre. I participated in the university’s first student-produced musical: Legally Blonde, the Musical. It was an amazing experience that led to great friendships and memories.
